SOLUTIONS TO DEVELOP THE BANKING CREDIT MARKET IN VIET NAM
Abstract
The bank credit capital market has a prerequisite role for the development of the economy in the integration period. Besides the positive sides, the bank credit capital market also has many potential risks and challenges. This study reflects the development of the banking credit market in Vietnam from 2013 to 2018 through statistical methods and comparing methods indicators reflecting the current situation of credit capital market in Vietnam. Based on the limitations indicated, the study proposed a number of solutions to develop the banking credit market in Vietnam: (1) Restructuring lending activities; (2) The banking system must focus on both resolving bad debts and providing credit capital reasonably; (3) Reducing the lending rate from bank credit to the economy, promoting the role of other capital markets; (4) Restructuring deposit products; (5) Promote restructuring and equitization of state-owned enterprises; (6) Improve the business environment.
