SITUATION AND FACTORS ASSOCIATED WITH TB/HIV CO-INFECTION IN THAI NGUYEN FROM 2015-2019

Abstract

Tuberculosis is the second leading cause of death among infectious diseases. tuberculosis and HIV co-infection is extremely dangerous because the link between the two diseases is always at risk of parallel spread and spread, so it is necessary to take care and actively prevent. Research methods, the study was conducted in drug-sensitive tuberculosis patients managed at Thai Nguyen Hospital of Tuberculosis and Lung disease from January 2015 to March 2019; with descriptive research method, cross-sectional design, combined retrospective and prospective study. Research results showed that the prevalence of TB / HIV in Thai Nguyen is higher than that of the country. TB / HIV patients registered for TB treatment increased over the years, however ARV registrations tended to decrease slightly in 2017, 2018. Our research results show a link between age groups from 31-45 and adhere to poor treatment with TB / HIV.
