STUDY ON FACTORS EFFECTING ON BIO-FERTILIZER PRODUCTION FROM BIO-PRODUCTS AND CATTLE MANURE
Abstract
Cattle waste treatment in Ha Giang province has been addressed as prior challenges in order to eliminate environment pollution which has been reported negatively affect human health. A part from that, treated manure can be used as a safe fertilizer source for crops farming in the area. In this study, cattle manure was fermented at the humidity of 30 – 35% for 30 – 70 days with supplemented of 1 kg rice bran and 1kg either SBA bio product or 0.3kg Sagi Bio and Em for every ton of manure. The fermented manure was regulary mix every 10 days with 3 times per day. Results showed that at the 50% manure humidity, fermentation time of 40 – 60 days, using SBA bio product was the best quality of fertilizer. Final product was completely discompound after 30 days, uniform particle size reached after 60 days; humidity was 27.75%; Ph 6.23; salmonella free; total micro organism was 6.04 x 107 (CFU/g); detection of heavy metal such as crom, nikel, lead, cadimi, mercury was at minimal threshold; total organic matter was higher than standard 1.3 times. These parameters were complied with TCVN 7185-2002.
