Abstract

Research on the impact of climate change on agricultural activities was conducted in Pho Day river basin of Tuyen Quang. The research collected data, analyzed, calculated and standardized climate data (rainfall, temperature, evaporation, lighting hours, etc.) to analyze climate change trends to develop scenarios of the study area. At the same time, DSSAT model was used to calculate the yield of spring rice, summer rice, maize, peanut and soybean in the reference period. Research results show that under the impact of climate change, the growth time of all crops decreases from 5-10 days. The yield of spring rice, summer rice, maize, peanut and soybean also decreased from 0.5 to 2 tons/ha/crop. The study also pointed out the optimal time for cultivation in the study area for spring rice from February 25 to March 5, for spring maize from February 25 to April 25, for spring peanut on January 15 to March 15, for spring-summer soy bean from April 15 to April 25. The research results also suggest many climate change adaptative solutions for some crops in the study area.
