RESULTS OF THE TREATMENT OF BRONCHO-PNEUMONIA IN CHILDREN FROM 2 MONTHS TO 5 YEARS OLD AT HIEP HOA HEALTH CENTER - BAC GIANG PROVINE

Abstract

This paper evaluated the results of the treatment of broncho-pneumonia in children from 2 months to 5 years old at Hiep Hoa Health Center - Bac Giang province. To describe on 355 patients who were children from 2 months to 5 years old were diagnosed with broncho-pneumonia. The results showed that rate of children 2-12 months groups have a broncho-pneumonia (63.7%) higher than children 12 - 60 months groups (36.3%); boy’s broncho-preumonia were 55.2% and girl’s broncho-preumonia were 44.8%, children had diagnosed broncho-pneumonia were 59.4% and severe broncho-pneumoni were 40.6%. A statistically significant difference was found (p < 0.05) in terms of percentage of cough cough symptoms decreased after 3 days. The rated of children with fever, tachypnea, rales lungs before treatment and after treatment in both age groups of 2-12 months and over 12-60 months to decreased, although the results were not statistically significant (p>0.05). The rate of children cured and non-changing antibiotics accounted for 71.0%, the rate of children cured and antibiotic changes were 12.4%, however, treatment failure rates during follow-up were 4.5%. Our study on 355 cases of broncho-pneumonia with cure results relatively high were 95.5% (treatment alone or in combination).
