DETERMINATION OF IMMUNE RESPONDS TO AN AUTOVACCINE AGAINST STREPTOCOCCUS SUIS IN PIGS IN THAI NGUYEN PROVINCE

Abstract

The objective of this study aimed at assessing the immune respones to an autovaccine agaist Streptococcus suis (S.suis) serotype 2, serotype 7 and serotype 9 in pigs after vaccination in Phu Binh district and Pho Yen town, Thai Nguyen province. The study used serum separation methodology and Indirect Haemaglunation Test (IHA) to determine the level of immune response and antibody titres in experimental pigs. The results of determining the immune response after vaccination showed that Autovaccine made from the antigen components of S. suis serotype 2, 7 and 9 has initially satified the requirements of stimulating good antibody production in pigs, immunisation induced with a satisfactory level of an Autovaccine according to the World Veterinary Organization (OIE) with antibody titres reaching ≥ 1/16 after 120 days of vaccination.
