Abstract
Kim Dai Sluice Dam plays a very important role as the lock of the South Ninh Binh irrigation system and regulates the water resources in the system, including preventing saltwater intrusion and retaining freshwater serving socio-economic development activities in the region. This article presents the calculations and assessment of the capacity of preventing saltwater intrusion and retaining freshwater of the Kim Dai sluice dam for the Nam Ninh region which are also keys to effective performance and management of the Kim Dai Sluice Dam.
