Abstract

Con Son stream originates internally in Con Son mountain range with a small basin of only 0.7 km². Historically, the stream has appeared in poetry, thereby expressing the abundance of water. But from 1990 onwards, the stream began to dry up, with only water flowing during the rainy season. In terms of the causes of Con Son stream depletion, the authors have researched from general factors to details of causes (indirect to direct factors) such as: Weather and climate; Disasters and human activities; The degree of lowering of the groundwater level; The impact comes from geological features, faults and fissures along Con Son stream route.
