Abstract

Stilling basin type energy dissipator is usually designed for spillways with high downstream water levels, poor geology and high construction costs. The typical form is a stilling basin or a combination of stilling basin and walls. This article presents the research results on auxiliary structures for a stilling basin located in the middle of the river bed, with high head and large flow. The case study is the spillway of Nuoc Trong reservoir in Quang Ngai province.
