Abstract

Riverbank erosion and embankment instability on major rivers and canals such as Sai Gon River, Dong Nai River, Mekong River, etc., have been compromising the safety of the infrastructure system and stabilizing the people's livelihood, economy, and society in riverside areas.

This study presents the results of the reliability theory-based safety evaluation of the Thu Dau Mot City embankment, Binh Duong province. This helps to add to the methods and procedures used to evaluate the safety of embankments, thereby proposing solutions to improve and fix them to reduce the risk of erosion.
