Factors affecting the healing process of Gen Z
Abstract
“Healing” has become increasingly prevalent and been frequently discussed on media platforms where young people, especially Gen Z, are active. This raises the question regarding factors that influence the healing process and its effectiveness. This study aims to delve deeper into the aspects of mental health maintenance and the ability to recover from life's stresses and difficulties. Employing a qualitative approach with semi-structured interviews of 31 Gen Z participants representing diverse perspectives and experiences. The research findings reveal that Gen Z’s healing process is influenced by factors such as personal worldview, finances, external environment, and individual future plans. The most significant challenge identified in this study is the financial constraint in accessing more comprehensive and in-depth healing methods. Gen Z requires a holistic approach that includes education, counseling, and personalized healing services to support and promote their healing journeys.
