Abstract

This article presents a case study analyzing the education and practices of traditional culture among the Ede students at No Trang Long ethnic boarding high school (Dak Lak) and within their home communities. The findings emphasize the necessity of adopting a student-centered approach to traditional cultural education, as it derives from the students' aspirations, needs, circumstances, and capabilities. Furthermore, the study indicates that, beyond general policies and directives, effective cultural education and practice in ethnic boarding schools require the integrated involvement of the school, the family, and the home community. This collaboration ensures that students are not merely presented with a "museum culture" but, more importantly, engage in and experience a "living culture." This approach facilitates the smooth and natural transmission of cultural heritage across generations.
