Improving people’s knowledge - From ideology to reality of Duy Tan movement in Quang Nam in the early 20th century

Abstract

Improving people’s knowledge, which was put into practice, is one of the
three important tasks mentioned in three leaders’ doctrine of Duy Tan movement in Quang
Nam in the early twentieth century (including Phan Chau Trinh, Tran Quy cap, and Huynh Thuc
Khang). This article focuses on presenting the task theoretically and examines some new style
schools during the movement at villages of Quang Nam at that time.
