A review of translated Vietnamese literature in Taiwan since 1990

Abstract

Vietnamese literature translated and disseminated abroad plays an important
role in popularizing Vietnam’s literary works to the world. This paper, based on empirical
studies and materials collected from various sources, presents the development of Vietnamese
literature in Taiwan through works translated and publicized in the country since 1990. The
results indicate that Vietnamese literary works are still limited to translation quality, subjects,
content, and their competitiveness in Taiwan.
