IMPORTANCE OF FACTORS AFFECTING CAREER COMMITMENT OF TOURISM STUDENTS (A CASE STUDY FOR STUDENTS OF FACULTY OF TOURISM - HANOI OPEN UNIVERSITY)
Abstract
Tourism is an integrated economic sector with a rapid growth rate and occupies an important position in the socio-economic development strategies of many countries around the world, including Vietnam. As tourism develops, the demand for human resources increases, especially to retain employees who want to have a long-term commitment to their occupation. Therefore, it is extremely important to identify the importance of factors affecting career commitment. The research is based on Herzberg’s two-factor theory and some existing research models, expert consultation to propose three groups of factors affecting career commitment: subjective factors (personality, desire, perception and capacity), objective factors (training institutions and work, and other factors of family and promotion).
