Ghost marriage phenomenon in Chinese society

Abstract

Posthumous also known as the Spirit or the Ghost marriage. The marriage of the dead can be divided into two types: marriage between two dead people and marriage between the dead and the living. This is a special folk custom of China, originating from the Yin Shang Dynasty, many people think that this is a practice that has been abolished but in fact there are still remnants of this custom. Through this article, we will learn more about the reasons why it is popular in China and compare it with that in Korea, as well as give an overview of a similar custom in Vietnam.
