Transformation of acetone into diacetone alcohol and mesityl oxide on anionit resin.

Abstract

Acetone was transformed into diaxeton ancol and mesityl oxide on anionit resin. Transformation degree of acetone and product selectivity were determined by using GC-MS. Identification of reaction products was realized byusing modern technique such as mass spectrometry MS, infrared spectroscopy IR, and using refractive index and melting point.
