Developing a model of factors affecting the learning interest of students at Quang Ninh University of Industry

Abstract

The quality and effectiveness of the educational process are significantly influenced by students’ learning interest. Enhancing learning interest is therefore essential to improving overall training quality and effectiveness. This study aima to identify the factors affecting the learning interest of students at Quang Ninh University of Industry and to examine the extent of influence of each factor. A five-point Likert scale was used to design the survey questionnaire. After removing invalid responses, the collected data were analyzed using Cronbach’s Alpha reliability test, EFA, correlation analysis, and regression analysis with the support of SPSS 27 software. The results show that students’ learning interest at Quang Ninh University of Industry is influenced by four main factors: learning environment, teaching methods, facilities, and students’ awareness. Among these factors, the learning environment has the strongest impact on students’ learning interest at Quang Ninh University of Industry in the current context. The regression model is statistically significant with a significance level of less than 0.1 and explains 75.6% of the variance in students’ learning interest.
