Current status of managing experiential and career guidance activities for students in lower secondary schools in Duc Trong district, Lam Dong province

Abstract

Experiential and career guidance activities are compulsory educational activities in the 2018 General Education Program. In recent school years, secondary schools in Duc Trong district, Lam Dong province have attached great importance to organizing experiential and career guidance activities for students and have achieved remarkable results; however, due to many subjective and objective reasons, these activities have not achieved the desired results, including reasons related to school management. This article presents the results of a survey on the current status of experiential and career guidance management for students in secondary schools in Duc Trong district, Lam Dong province in terms of: managing goals, content, forms, methods, coordinating forces, conditions and managing inspection and evaluation of the results of experiential and career guidance activities for students. The survey results provide a practical basis for establishing appropriate management measures to improve the effectiveness of experiential and career guidance activities for students, contributing to improving the quality of comprehensive education in secondary schools in Duc Trong district, Lam Dong province.
