Current status of nurses' job satisfaction and some related factors at Hai Phong Medical University Hospital in 2022

Abstract

Objectives: Describe the current status of job satisfaction of clinical nurses at Hai Phong Medical University Hospital in 2022 and describe some factors related to job satisfaction of clinical nurses at the hospital Hai Phong Medical University in 2022. Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study on 95 nurses working at Hai Phong Medical University Hospital. Nurses participating in the study responded to a pre-designed questionnaire on nurse job satisfaction. Results: Research results show that the overall job satisfaction rate of clinical nurses is 13.7%. Among them, the aspects with the highest satisfaction rate of nurses include the aspect of satisfaction with the nature of work, 65.3%; followed by colleague relationships reaching 58.9%; management aspect monitoring satisfaction rate 52.6%; The lowest satisfaction rate regarding rewards 6.3%; Next, salary is 8.4%; working conditions 10.5%; Promotion opportunity 12.6%. Nurses with university degrees have higher job satisfaction than nurses with intermediate or college degrees. Conclusions: Satisfaction with the nature of work, colleague relationships, management, and supervision are 65.3%, 58.9%, and 52.6% respectively. Overall job satisfaction is 13.7%, there is a relationship between educational level and job satisfaction of nurses, specifically female nurses with university degrees have a higher satisfaction rate than qualified nurses.
