Current situation and related factors of the quality of life of pharmacy students at Hai Phong Medical University in 2023

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the current situation of the quality of life (QoL) and identify related factors of QoL among 402 pharmacy students at Hai Phong Medical University, using the SF-12 tool for assessment. The research findings showed that the average QoL score of pharmacy students was 66.54±17.22, with 37.31% of students having a good QoL, 39.30% having an average QoL, 21.89% having a low QoL, and 1.49% having a very low QoL. The factors related to QoL included gender, academic year, gastrointestinal diseases, illness/accidents in the past 4 weeks, and stress-causing events in the past 12 months. Therefore, the quality of life of pharmacy students requires attention and appropriate measures to improve their quality of life.
