Evaluate effects of the treatment of electrical methods combined with William exercises on patients with low back pain due to lumbar spondylosis

Abstract

Objectives: Describe of clinical and paraclinical characteristics of patients with low back pain due to lumbar spondylosis at Kien An hospital 2022 ; Evaluate effects of the therapeutic effect of electroacupuncture combined with William exercises on research focus. Subjective: 30 patients were diagnosed with low back pain due to lumbar spondylosis, regardless of gender, occupation, disease severity. Method: A single-center, no blind, non-controlled clinical trial. Results: The average age of patients in the study group was 60,37 ± 13,07, with most patients being over 60 years old. The highest proportion of patients (33.3%) had stage 3 lumbar spondylosis on X-ray imaging. In traditional medicine, the most common syndrome observed was a combination of Wind-Cold-Damp obstruction and Liver-Kidney Yin deficiency. The average VAS score before treatment was 6.37 ± 0.71, which decreased to 1.90 ± 1,39 after 14 days of treatment (p<0.05). The range of motion of the flexed and extended lumbar spine increased (p < 0.05). The improvement of daily living function significant improvement (p<0,05).
