Abstract
Objective: Describe the clinical and paraclinical characteristics of primary thrombocytopenic purpura at Hai Phong Children's Hospital from January 1, 2022, to December 31, 2022. Method: descriptive study of a series of cases using retrospective data. Results: Clinical characteristics showed that 84.7% of children were hospitalized due to subcutaneous hemorrhage. The characteristics included only skin hemorrhages accounting for 63.5%, skin + mucosa + visceral hemorrhages were 5.8%, 51.9% of children had polymorphic hemorrhage. Classification showed that 55.8% of children had mild hemorrhage, 36.5% had moderate hemorrhage. The average hemoglobin level upon admission was 118.20 ± 15.70 and most children did not have coagulation disorders. Conclusion: The clinical manifestation is mainly simple subcutaneous hemorrhage; the degree of hemorrhage is mainly mild and moderate hemorrhage. Polymorphic hemorrhage and petechiae are mainly. The clinical degree of hemorrhage does not depend entirely on the degree of thrombocytopenia.
