Treatment Outcomes of Closed Distal Tibial Fractures in Adults Using Locking Plate Osteosynthesis Under Fluoroscopic Guidance at Viet Tiep Friendship Hospital
Abstract
Object: Evaluation of Treatment Outcomes of Closed Distal Tibial Fractures in Adults Using Locking Plate Osteosynthesis Under Fluoroscopic Guidance. Subject anh methods: A study was conducted on 31 patients diagnosed with closed distal tibial fractures who underwent internal fixation using locking plates under fluoroscopic guidance. Results: The average age of patients in the study was 50.26 ± 13.8 years, with males accounting for 64.52%. The primary cause of injury was traffic accidents. The mean operative time was 68.5 minutes. Fracture reduction under fluoroscopic guidance was successfully achieved in 87.1% of cases; good reduction was achieved in 12.9%. After 9 months of rehabilitation, very good functional outcomes were observed in 75% of patients, good outcomes in 20.83%, and fair outcomes in 4.17%. Conclusions: A total of 95.83% of patients achieved very good or good functional recovery following locking plate osteosynthesis performed under fluoroscopic guidance.
