Abstract
This retrospective study included 120 patients with thyroid nodules who underwent ultrasound-guided fine-needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) at Viet Tiep Friendship Hospital in 2024, with the objective of describing the clinical characteristics of these nodules. The majority of tumors were confined to a single lobe (83.3%), distributed equally between the right and left lobes; a smaller number were located in the isthmus or involved both lobes. On clinical examination, 85% of nodules were palpable. Most tumors had a firm consistency (50.83%); nearly half were fixed (49.17%), while 63.33% were mobile. Ultrasound-guided FNAC identified 59 malignant cases (49.17%), 55 benign cases (45.83%), and 6 suspicious cases (5%).
