Results of the electroacupuncture method combined with nursing exercises of Nguyen Van Huong in the treatment of hip lumbar syndrome at Hai Phong Medical University Hospital 2022 – 2023

Abstract

Objective: (1) Describe clinical and subclinical features in the treatment of hip lumbar syndrome at Hai Phong Medical University Hospital 2022 – 2023. (2) Comment on the results of the electroacupuncture method combined with the nursing exercises of Nguyen Van Huong on patients. Subjects and methods of the study: All patients over 30 years old were diagnosed with hip lumbar syndrome. The study describes clinical cases, comparing before and after no controls. Results: The average age of patients is 62.48±1.52, of which women account for 73.33%. The proportion of light and medium labor predominates. Duration of illness > 6 months accounts for 35%. Reduced Valleix pain score from 3.93± 0.11 points to 1.7±0.124. The VAS index improved from 2,20±0,071 to 0,93±0,078. The range of motion of the lumbar spine (folding, stretching, tilting, turning) of improved markedly compared to before treatment (p<0.05). The Schober improvement increased from 11.42±1.10 to 13.67±0.79. Lasègue increased from 53.48 ± 7.64 to 70.30±4.74. After treatment, the function of daily living was good at 51.7%, quite 48.3%. Valleix pain score decreased from 3.93±0.11 to 2.233±1.125.
