Evaluation of immediate Neodent implants in the posterior region at Hai Phong University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital from 2019 - 2020

Abstract

A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted on 19 patients with 30 teeth indicated for immediate Implant placement in the posterior region at Hai Phong University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital. The study period was from January 2019 to September 2020, with the aim of evaluating the results of immediate implantation using the Neodent Implant system in the posterior region. Information was collected according to the medical record form, patient interview, and follow-up examination form. The study results showed that the most commonly used implant size in the research was a diameter of 4.3mm and a length of 10mm, accounting for 46.7%. In the group with favorable implant height, 90.0% had implants with a length of 10mm. The torque values for the implants were 32 N/cm² or higher in 27 cases, representing 90.0%. The immediate implant placement method yielded good results with appropriately sized implants, bone grafting, and achieved good initial stability. The ISQ index after 3 months was in the medium to high range for 90.0% of cases. The success rate after 3 months was 96.7%.
