Prevalence and related factors to anthracosis among the coal workers at Duong Huy Coal Company - TKV in 2023

Abstract

The cross-sectional study was conducted among 300 coal worker working at Duong Huy Coal Company - TKV, Quang Ninh province in 2023 aimed to of describing the prevalence of anthracosis and related factors. The results of the study showed that the prevalence of anthracosis was 11.67%; the age group of 50 and over, with working experience from 20 to 29 years and performing coal mining were the groups with the highest rate of workers with coal dust. The factors related to CWP included age, working position and cumulative respiratory weight dust concentration exposure with coal dust. In this study, the prevalence of CWP in workers directly exposed to coal dust at Duong Huy Coal Company is still high. It is necessary to have appropriate preventive, screening and care measures for the above subjects.
