Clinical and results of myringoplasty using PRF on patients with chronic otitis media at Hai Phong international hospital.

Abstract

Objective: To evaluate the impact of platelet-rich fibrin plate in endoscopic tympanoplasty surgery on graft survival outcomes Method: A prospective observational study which was conducted in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology- Head and neck surgery, Haiphong internetional hospital, over a period of one year from June 2020 to June 2021. Patients who underwent endoscpic tympanoplasty surgery were used perichondrium of tragus combine the platelet-rich fibrin plaque (n = 45). Graft survival and hearing outcomes were recorded after folowing in 3 months. Results: The highlest rate of graft survival were significantly (100%) and the changement of hearing gain was not significant. The time of healing tympanic membrane was shorter than the case not used the platelet-rich fibrin plaque before that (10 +3 days). Conclusion: The use of PRF plate increases the success rate and shortens the treatment time in tympanoplasty surgery. There were no noticeable side effects.
