Abstract

In the context of international integration and the digital era, the boundaries between occupations are increasingly blurred, requiring workers to possess interdisciplinary knowledge, soft skills, and the ability to adapt to technological changes. However, the quality of Vietnam’s trained workforce remains limited compared to international standards. As an essential component of the national education system, vocational education and training (VET) plays a crucial role in developing a high-quality workforce to meet labour market demands and support socio-economic development. VET lecturers are the crucial force that determines training quality. Therefore, the requirements for the quality of vocational education lecturers at colleges are increasingly strict, not only in terms of professional qualifications but also in terms of technological capacity, integration skills and adaptability to the global labour market. In practice, a number of current vocational education lecturers still lack comprehensive capacity, directly affecting training quality and national competitive position. Thus building a systematic model for developing vocational education lecturers, integrating theory and practice, is an urgent requirement to improve training efficiency, modernise the vocational education system and meet the context of international integration.
