Abstract
In the context of the innovation of the general education curriculum, the role and professional competencies of teachers have raised issues requiring changes to align with the goals and requirements of the curriculum. Consequently, enhancing the quality of teacher training and professional development holds a pivotal significance, determining the success of the current fundamental and comprehensive educational reform. This research adopts the approach of the general education innovation to redefine the role and professional competencies of educators in the new requirements, thereby clarifying the objectives of teacher training and professional development to contribute to improving the quality of training and professional development in response to the demands of the renewed general education curriculum.
