QUALITY OF LIVING ENVIRONMENT AND SATISFACTION OF PEOPLE IN DONG NAI PROVINCE
Abstract
Improving environmental well-being and satisfaction of local people contributes to improving the quality of life. Based on a representative sample survey of 1,000 households and in-depth interviews in 10 communes and wards of Dong Nai province in 2024, the article analyzes the accessibility of households to basic environmental services and the satisfaction of people with environmental well-being. The results show that most households could access solid waste collection services and people had a high level of satisfaction. Meanwhile, the level of access to water supply and wastewater collection services as well as people's satisfaction with these services were significantly lower, especially in rural areas. The above findings imply the need to invest in water supply systems and wastewater drainage systems for rural areas.
