SOUTH EAST YOUTH UNION IN ACTIVITIES OF THE COMMUNITY DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY GROUP (CASE OF HCMC, BINH DUONG, DONG NAI)

Abstract

The National Digital Transformation Program is implemented by Vietnam according to Decision No. 749/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister from 2020. Accordingly, the Community Digital Technology Group is an innovative model in deploying support for people to carry out digital transformation in each locality, village, and neighborhood that will be applied from the beginning of 2022. In particular, the Youth Union - the shock force, the core of the Community Digital Technology Group, is at the forefront of many digital transformation activities. Based on survey data of 360 experts in charge of the Youth Union and related secondary data, the article provides an overview of the Youth Union's work in Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong and Dong Nai in community digital technology group activities in the past year, and on that basis recommends solutions to promote the role of the Youth Union in these localities in community digital technology group activities, contributing to building digital government, digital economy and digital society.
