PATIENT SATISFACTION WITH HEALTHCARE SERVICES (THE CASE OF OUTPATIENTS AT GENERAL HOSPITAL IN HO CHI MINH CITY)
Abstract
The quality of medical examination and treatment services is a key determinant that has a profound impact on patient satisfaction. Based on a survey of 200 outpatients (including direct interviews with 10 individuals) aged between 18 and 60 who received care at Hoc Mon Regional General Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City in 2019, this study analyzes patients’ satisfaction with the quality of healthcare services. The findings suggest that the hospital should further improve service quality; suggest on service quality such as: enhancing innovation in medical examination and treatment facilities; improve the attitude of medical staff at the hospital: building a public medical examination process at the hospital and on the website as well as through channels that people can easily access to improve patient satisfaction.
