ACCESS TO REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH CARE SERVICES FOR RURAL WOMEN IN THE MEKONG DELTA

Abstract

Access to reproductive health care (RH) services is vital to guarantee women's fundamental health rights, particularly in rural regions where numerous economic, cognitive, and health infrastructure obstacles exist. Based on survey data of 542 women in An Giang and Ben Tre provinces in 2023, the article examines the present condition of access to RH services for rural women in the Mekong Delta (MD) concerning gynecological and pregnancy health care, on that basis, recommends solutions to ensure access to reproductive health care services towards equity and safety for women.
