Abstract

Based on the survey of local documents, commune government reports, and the results of in- Based on an examination of local documents, reports from the community authorities, and comprehensive interviews, the article emphasizes analyzing the evolution of economic endeavors and livelihoods of individuals in An Duc commune, Ba Tri district, Ben Tre province from 2010 to 2024 from a historical viewpoint. The findings reveal a distinct transition from a conventional agricultural commune that depends predominantly on rice, gradually moving towards diverse economic activities, in which aquaculture and non-agricultural sectors of coastal rural communities increasingly assume a pivotal role.
