ECONOMIC LIFE OF HOUSEHOLDS OF CHAM PEOPLE HAVE WORKERS GOING TO WORK FAR AWAY - RESEARCH IN LA MA HAMLET, VINH HAU COMMUNE, AN GIANG PROVINCE

Abstract

Drawing from qualitative information gathered in the Muslim Cham community in La Ma hamlet, Vinh Hau commune, An Giang province in July 2025, the article elucidates the origin of remittances from migrant laborers in the economic existence of households. The assembly of migrant workers, encompassing the traditional street commerce in their sustenance, contributes to the economic stability of this community. Nevertheless, there remains a necessity for additional assistance from the government to enhance living conditions.
