Abstract

Tran De is a coastal district of Soc Trang Province, possessing diverse natural resources favorable for agricultural development. However, under the impacts of climate change, local agricultural production is being threatened by various adverse natural phenomena such as saltwater intrusion, drought, irregular weather patterns, flooding caused by high tides, and sea level rise. Based on both quantitative and qualitative survey data, this study evaluates the impacts of climate change on agricultural production and the adaptive measures adopted by coastal residents in Tran De District, Soc Trang Province. Accordingly, the study proposes several solutions to further enhance the community’s adaptive capacity in response to climate change conditions.
