Abstract

Drawing upon qualitative data derived from surveys (in 2023) and secondary documents, this article conducts an analysis of the prevailing conditions pertaining to socio-economic infrastructure responsiveness within Duc Hoa Dong commune, situated in Long An province (formerly). The investigation reveals that in Duc Hoa Dong, a locality that has attained new rural standards, there has been a concentrated effort in the investment and enhancement of local socio-economic infrastructure, resulting in a substantial transformation of the local landscape in recent times. Nevertheless, the parameters concerning transportation, irrigation, disaster mitigation, educational institutions, and rural commercial infrastructure, as articulated by residents, exhibit several deficiencies and necessitate further investments and improvements. This scenario underscores the imperative to persistently evaluate the genuine requirements of localities that are undergoing industrialization in the context of new rural area development, in order to formulate suitable strategies for infrastructure advancement.
