Abstract
Phu Vinh is a rural commune located in the mountainous area of Dinh Quan District, Dong Nai Province, where the Chinese community accounts for more than 60% of the population. Most of the Chinese residents in Phu Vinh originated from long-established Chinese communities in northern Vietnam, primarily Quang Ninh Province, who migrated to the South beginning in 1954. Applying historical methods combined with oral history, this article explores the settlement of the Chinese community here from the time of immigration until now.
