PRESERVING AND PROMOTING CHAM FOLK HERITAGE AMONG JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS IN PHAN RANG THAP CHAM CITY, NINH THUAN PROVINCE

Abstract

Cham music represents the spiritual ideals and cultural identity of the Cham people in the South Central region. Cham folk songs are an essential component of the country's intangible cultural heritage. Through field surveys and data analysis, this article illustrates the level of awareness and participation of secondary school students in Ninh Thuan in preserving traditional music. On this basis, the article suggests practical pedagogical solutions and awareness-raising initiatives for effectively incorporating Cham folk songs into the school curriculum.
