FAMILY CLAN CULTURE IN NGHE AN: CURRENT SITUATION AND SOLUTIONS FOR PRESERVATION AND PROMOTION

Abstract

Clan culture is an important aspect of Vietnamese spiritual life and a distinguishing trait of the country's traditional culture. Clans are not only the fundamental units of social organization in Nghe An, but they also serve as sites for the preservation, conservation, and promotion of numerous rich cultural values. Based on the observations of many cultural and ethnological researchers, as well as survey results and document analysis of clan organization, genealogies, and worship rituals, as well as the cultural and ethical values passed down through generations in Nghe An, this article proposes a number of solutions to conserve and promote clan cultural values in the current context.
