PERCEPTIONS OF REPRODUCTION, THE VALUE OF CHILDREN, AND CHILDBEARING INTENTIONS AMONG YOUTH IN HO CHI MINH CITY

Abstract

The article analyses survey data from 300 unmarried young people in Ho Chi Minh City (before July 1, 2025) to examine perceptions of childbirth and the influence of these perceptions on the intention to have children in the near future, in order to contribute useful information to the communication programme on marriage and family. In particular, it addresses the problem of low fertility, which affects the sustainable development of the family in the context of modern society.
