THE THOUGHT OF PHAN CHAU TRINH’S EDUCATION RENOVATION IN THE EARLY 20TH CENTURY – REFLECTING ON THE ROLE AND THE POSITION OF EDUCATION IN VIETNAM TODAY
Abstract
Reforms aimed at improving people's knowledge are among the highlights of the Duy Tan movement in the early twentieth century. Together with contemporary patriotic journalists, Phan Chau Trinh launched the Duy Tan movement for education. From the analysis of perspectives on the role, purpose, mission, content, task of innovation as well as the method of educational organization and educational methods of Phan Chau Trinh, the article is relevant to the path of changing the education system in Vietnam today.
