“PIVOT TO ASIA” STRATEGY OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION AND VIETNAM - RUSSIAN FEDERATION ECONOMIC RELATIONS IN THE EARLY 21TH CENTURY

Abstract

At the beginning of the 21st century, with the strength and increasing international position, the Russian Federation has become an important power actor in the Asia-Pacific region and the world. The adjustment of foreign policy and the implementation of many practical activities of Russia have affected Vietnam-Russia relations in general and economic relations in particular. The paper examines the adjustment of Russian foreign policy towards the Asia-Pacific region in the first two decades of the 21st century; analyzing the position of Vietnam in Asian policy of the Russian Federation; thereby assessing the impact of Russia's new foreign policy on Vietnam - Russia economic relations.
