SAME-ETHNIC RELATIONSHIPS OF ISLAMIC CHAM PEOPLE IN AN GIANG PROVINCE AND HO CHI MINH CITY

Abstract

The same-ethnic relation or intra-ethnic relation of the Islam Cham people is actually an ethnic-religious relation. Along with the development of society and the convergence trend of the nation, this relation has more and more closely linked not only because of the practice of the religious doctrines but also the expression of friendship, business and economic relationship which require the communities to help and support each other. The article explores the ethnic relation of the Islam Cham people in the South, specifically the Islam Cham community in An Giang province and Islam Cham community in Ho Chi Minh City in the relationship of marriage, community and religion.
