SOME FEATURES OF THE ORPHAN CHARACTER IN MA ETHNIC PEOPLE’S STORYTELLING FROM STORIES OF MA PEOPLE IN DONG NAI

Abstract

The article initially explores the orphan tale type of Ma people’s folktale in Dong Nai; thereby making some comments on the image of orphan characters of Ma people’s folktale in relation to the image of orphan characters of general folktale. Through this study, it can be affirmed that the image of orphan characters through Ma people’s folktale shows the special features in the spiritual life of Ma people’s tradition.
