CORE VALUES AND THE SYSTEM OF ETHICAL NORMS IN UNIVERSITIES – INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE AND IMPLICATIONS FOR VIETNAM

Abstract

Setting core values ​​and ethical standards have important implications for the development of every university. Thanks to their own values ​​and standards, many schools have organized a space for academic research enthusiasts, and achieved high efficiency in education, training and university administration. The article explores the principles that have helped schools around the world succeed in setting the values ​​and ethical standards that Vietnamese universities can refer to. Based on the document analysis method, the article draws out three general principles, which are: 1) Setting standards according to the school context; 2) Dividing ethical standards according to many levels of subjects; 3) Setting of ethical codes requires a multi-step process.
