THE COMMITTEE PARTY OF SAI GON - CHO LON - GIA DINH WITH EDUCATION DURING THE RESISTANCE WAR (1945-1948)
Abstract
“Illiteracy” (Giac Dot) is one of the enemies that weaken and endanger the existence of the nation. Therefore, education has always been the top concern of the Communist Party and Government in order to eliminate “Illiteracy”. After the August Revolution of 1945, although the country was still in a situation of "thousands of pounds hanging by a hair", education was still a top priority. The Party and Government have implemented a new education program, launched the “Antiilliteracy Education Movement” and built the education program during the resistance war. In Saigon, the French has re-invaded Vietnam (September 23th, 1945), the Party and people of the South had to stand up to wage the resistance war against the French. However, under the leadership of the Committee Party of Saigon - Cho Lon - Gia Dinh, education program during war time was still maintained, and achieved many important results like: unifying the educational policy in the whole country; mobilizing and promoting the role of Saigon intellectuals in the cause of Southern education; the “Anti-illiteracy Education Movement” achieved the first victory in the country, etc. These important results have both demonstrated the wise and timely leadership of the Committee Party of Saigon Cho Lon - Gia Dinh, and contributed to defeating the educational conspiracy of French colonialists, contributing to the overall victory of the resistance war against the French.
