MENTAL HEALTH OF THE ELDERLY IN THE CONTEXT OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC VIA SOME RESEARCH FINDINGS

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic that has occurred globally over the past three years has greatly affected the lives of people in most countries, particularly, the mental health of the elderly. There are high rates of mortality and severe complications among the elderly population. Based on published research findings, the article explores some of the mental health issues of the elderly in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and recommends some policies to care for the elderly in the coming time.
